The purpose of this research is to make mathematical models that can predict seat dimensions, which are sitting height, sitting eye height, sitting shoulder height, sitting elbow height, knee height, buttock-popliteal height, overhead grip reach-sitting, shoulder-elbow length, forearm hang length, based on someone’s anthropometric relation. The mathematical models formulated in this research are limited to predicting the sitting dimensions in relation to DKI Jakarta formal workers’ height. The data of 400 formal workers, half of them being male and the rest being female, are collected by using the measurement forms asking the workers’ identity and research data. Research data is processed by MiniTab and SPSS 15.0, the mathematical models are created by using simple linear regression analysis. The result of the research is the mathematical models which can be used for predicting the seat dimensions based on DKI Jakarta formal workers’ stature. The general equation on mathematical model is Y=a + bX. There are 10 sittingdimensional mathematical models of male formal workers and 8 sittingdimensional mathematical models of female ones. |
