Abstract
PT. ABC is a manufacturing company that specializes in dies making, stamping and sub assembly for motor vehicles. Currently in PT. ABC is experiencing a decline in economic conditions caused a decline in orders received by the company due to the global economic crisis that happened, so the company must reduce a lot of employees. This has resulted in many vacant positions and there were many double position in the company.
To resolve this problem, one way that can be done is to change the organizational structure of the company as an adjustment to the condition of the company. Therefore, the proposed changes will be given the organizational structure more streamlined and efficient based on job analysis and job evaluation because both of this process will provide
information on each position in the company. Job analysis process using interviews and observations methode of each position and obtained a job description and job specifications according to current conditions. Job evaluation process using a Point System Methode that will assess each position based on seven factors, such as Impact on Organization, Supervision, Area of Responsibility, Interaction, Qualification, Problem Solving and
Environment Conditions. Results of the job analysis indicate the position duties, responsibilities, authority and the requirements needed for an position and obtained information that there are manypositions that can be incorporated with other position seen from a simple activity. Job evaluation process shows the value for each position that can identify positions which have significant value in the company and should be maintained and the positions that can be removed or can be combined with other parts. The conclusions is the organizational structure of the company's needs an organizational restructuring to a more efficient structure to adjust to the conditions of the company's resources at this time.
