The Lord Grey School has a well-established tradition of supporting staff professional development. Simon Barnes, the assistant headteacher who is undertaking this project, is responsible for all aspects of this work. He works through the induction tutor to support newly qualified teachers in the school, and oversees all aspects of the budget for the professional development (CPD) programme, whether as activities for individual members of staff, as whole-school professional development days, or as in-house in-service. He is responsible for organising all the whole-school activity as well.This work is linked to his responsibility for overseeing the development of performance management targets in line with the Government’s initiative.
