Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder which commonly occurs in children equal or less than 3 years old, a child with ASD usually characterized by qualitative impairment of social interaction and communication, sometimes along with repetitive activities.
The cause of ASD is still unknown, many researches have been conducted to uncover the true cause of ASD and also to find the precise treatment to cure children with ASD but, so far, the results are still uncertain.
In this paper, we would describe some treatments to cure a child with ASD, there were several forms of therapy, which were, Sensory Integration, behavior, speech, diet, and Home Programme. Information regarding the patient’s status was gained through observation, interview, literature study, and by analyzing the patient’s improvement.
A Child named D (male, 3 years old) whom diagnosed as ASD patient showed significant improvements in language development, social interaction, and emotion after D’s parents treated him continuously with Sensory Integration, behavior, speech, diet, and Home Programme therapy, beside those treatments, D’s improvements were also being watched continuously. |
