Abstract
ADHD is a disorder that commonly found in children that characterized by hyperactive, inattentive, and impulsive. ADHD can interfere academic achievement, daily activity, and social life. Prevalence of ADHD in Indonesia si 26.2%, in India is 29% and in USA is 12.3%. Ratio ADHD between men and women from 2:1 to 9:1, there are some factors that can increase the risk to become ADHD. The factors are genetic, mother's habit such as alcohol and cigarette use during pregnancy, diabetic mother during pregnancy, birth weight, pregnancy period, and delivery method. We used the cross-sectional study design analysis in our research. The data were collected from elementary schools at least 6 months and the age is between 6 up to 13 years old and also collected from the parents of the students. From our research, there were 155 child that have a risk to become ADHD. The prevalence of children that have a risk to become ADHD in Kecamatan Penjaringan from this study was 46.5%. There were 63.3% boys and 28.6% girls who had a risk to become ADHD, which ratio was 2:1. We found a relation between genetic, mother's habit such as alcohol or cigarette use during pregnancy, pregnancy period, and birth weight, with a child that have a risk to become ADHD. However, we did not find a relation between diabetic mother during pregnancy and delivery method with a child that have a risk to become ADHD because we didn't have enough respondents.
