Technology has revolutionized over the centuries and is still constantly evolving to meet the various needs of mankind. Students today are growing up in a world that is far different technologically from the world in which their parents and grandparents were students. To be not familiar with technology nowadays, a person, institute or company, would be considered obsolete and backward. Technology has been part of schooling for many decades. Thus, it is necessary that schools and educators keep abreast with the latest developments of educational technologies available, and continually infuse their lessons with the use of technology to enhance students’ learning and engagement. As quoted by Santrock (2004), “if students are to be adequately prepared for tomorrow’s jobs, technology must become an integral part of schools and classrooms.” |
