Abstract
Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP Or School-Based Curriculum) Was The New Curriculum That Was Introduced By Department Of Education And Culture Of Republic Indonesia In 2006. In This Curriculum, The Teacher Will Be Expected To Develop Students’ Creativity And Create An Enjoyable And Challenging Situation To Achieve Student-Centered Classroom. In Language Teaching The Success Of Learning Depends On The Teacher Role, The Learner, Textbook, Syllabus, And Many Other Factors. This Statement Indicates That The Textbook Will Play An Important Role For Teachers And Students Because The Teaching And Learning Materials Are Based On Them. If The Materials Are Poor, The Students Will Be Confused And Discouraged. The Textbook Is A Tool And The Teacher Must Not Only Know How To Use It, But How Useful It Can Be. The Teacher Must Be Able To Assess Its Strengths And Weaknesses. Every School Is Given A Right To Determine The Textbook For Their Own School, But The Problems Lie In Whether The Textbooks For Elementary School Students Are In Line With The School Curriculum.
