Abstract
Veronika Decides to Die is one of the famous works of Paulo Coelho and was published in New York in 1998. Despite the weight of the title, Coelho keeps
Veronika's story surprisingly light. With its economical prose, clear narrative and philosophical explorations on the meaning of love and life, this life-affirming book reads like a modern classic. This novel tells a terrific story about a woman who feel
very bored of her routines. This great story inspires people especially the readers to recognize how important our life is. Veronika as the main character has everything she could wish for. She is pretty and young, has plenty of attractive boyfriends, goes dancing, has a steady job and a loving family. Yet Veronika is not happy; something
is lacking in her life and it leads her to take a very different action, attempting suicide.
