Isi artikelThe analysis presented here is based on ethnographic research spanning approximately four years, and is concerned with the negotiation of identities and belonging(s) among young ‘Scottish Pakistanis’ in Edinburgh. It demonstrates how various forms of physical, mediated and virtual mobility are tied up in both the performative maintenance and reflexive review of identities. Furthermore, it indicates how ‘diverse mobilities’ construct trans-boundary communicative spaces where meanings of identities are exchanged, reflexively debated and played with.
