Isi artikel
This report of a study of 47 South Asian women who were recent immigrants to Canada reveals that these women face many challenges in settling in the new country and barriers to the receipt of social services. The findings emphasize the need to understand these women’s experiences within the framework of the intersecting diversities of race, gender, and class and to develop culturally and linguistically sensitive social work policies and practice.
