Isi artikelIn its most relevant sense for a theory of feminist social work practice, connected scholarship means forging links with and among community entities on the basis of alternatives to the bureaucratized relationships that constrain much of social work practice. Connected scholarship is therefore like connected practice; both are different sides of a professional approach to practice that should be as much attuned to the active solution of problems as to the more academic task of defining them. The profession’s traditional experience with doing social work and the application of traditional feminist values are thus both able to equip us with a scholarly, activist orientation to a renewed social work practice in this new century.
