Isi artikelABSTRACT The level of economic understanding of 665 11th- and 12th-grade students in southeast Ohio was examined in this study. The Test of Economic Literacy (TEL), a standardized, multiple-choice test designed to measure a student's level of economic understanding, was administered to 665 students. The students scores were analyzed and compared with national averages for the TEL. The 3 subjects the students understood best were currency exchange, competition, and types of economic systems. The 3 subjects the students understood least were market failures, inflation, and scarcity of resources.
