Isi artikelThis research was conducted to explore the relationship between exploration and commitment in education, with orientation to the future of education. The background of the research was third-year senior highschool students had difficulties in deciding which major they would take when they go to colleges or universities. Those who had decided their major show inconsistent effort to pass the entrance exam for their selected major. It was easy for them to switch major when they fail the try-out exam for the selected major. The samples in this research were third-year senior highschool students who attended university entrance exam preparation class (lembaga bimbingan belajar) at ABC, Bandung, ages 16 to 18 years. The result of this research shows that there is a significant correlation between exploration and orientation to the future in education (rx=0,65; a=0,01) and there is also significant correlation between commitment and orientation to the future in education (rs=0,725; a=0,01).
