PT XYZ is a company producing concrete steel with various specification kinds, shape, diameter and different length. This company has 3 finished goods warehouse. They consist of mills 1, mills 2 and mills 3. Those warehouse are in one same area. This concrete steel with different diameter are plays in different finished goods warehouse. Mills 1 storing small steel ( below 20 mm ) and mills 2 storing large steel ( up 20 mm ). Mills 3 is additional warehouse. At this time management of warehouse has problems. They have difficulty in storing the steel in finished goods warehouse. At this time warehouse has storage method which placing steel based on quality, kinds, shape, diameter and length of steel. Beside that, from latest observation the condition of warehouse is not optimal. After knowing the system of warehouse at this time, there are waste such as inventory waste and motion waste. Because of that, the writer recommend 5S on finished goods warehouse of PT XYZ to solve the problems. After analyze the system and condition on warehouse at this time, and recommend 5S ( seiri,seiton,seiso,seiketsu,and seiketsu ) can minimize waste on warehouse. Implementation recommendation of 5S with red tag method, making of visual display, cleaning schedule and inspection, standardize and doing sustain can minimize waste and solve the problem on finished goods warehouse PT XYZ |
