satisfaction, so when doing their jobs the costumer complain bout the employees service, we can assume that the employees also have dissatisfaction in their works. On the other hand, it is an indication in theirs itself employees dissatisfaction with the company when turn over cases happen in that they appear as a result of employees dissatisfaction with their company. Job satisfaction has always been an important topic if a company wants to run in a perfect shape. When job’s satisfaction is fulfilled, the employee’s productivity will in turn increase. On the other side, the employee’s absences are decrease because the employees are happy to work. And then the rate turn over will decrease if they are comfortable with the working conditions in the present company. Generally the satisfaction is influenced by three factors. The first is organization factor, the second is working factor and the third is personal characteristic. The purpose of this research is to discuss the effects of two independent factors on the jobs satisfaction of the employees on the contractor company ‘X’. Physical working condition is the first independent factor. This factor includes coloring, cleanness, air circulation, music, security and noise. The second independent factor is manager’s leadership style. This research ambiance uses the transactional transformational leadership style. There are three types of leadership style, i.e. transactional, transformational, and laissez-faire. The result of the research show that employees satisfaction on jobs has insignificant correlation with the physically working condition (r = 0.048) and the result also shows that job satisfaction have a correlation, although the correlation isn’t significant enough (r = 0.235). On the effect of physically working condition and the manager’s leadership style on job satisfaction, the result is R square = 5.6%. It means only 5.6% of the employee’s job satisfaction that can be explained by physically working condition and manager’s leadership style. This research also gets the regression formula Y = 37.905 + 0.035X1 + 0.12X2 with F as the sum of 2.277 (signification level 0.109 > 0.05). From that result, researcher gets the conclusion that there are any effects of physically working condition variable, manager’s leadership style variable on employee job satisfaction variable in the contractor company ‘X’. |
