Cataract remains the major cause of blindness in developing country. Cataract occurs when the lens losses its normal transparency due to a number of causes, especially ageing process. As life expectancy increases in Indonesia, it is estimated that prevalence will be doubled by the year 2010. A side of ageing process, senile cataract is also influenced by other factors such as: metabolism disorder, systemic diseases, exposed to B ultra violet.
