Isi artikelAn analysis was made of TAT-type stories collected in Guambiano and Spanish from three groups of Guambiano Indians categorized according to their acculturation level to test whether differences in content between stories in the Ll and L2 were proportional to the subjects' acculturation level. A lack of action and interaction among the characters led to nonsignificant results in these two categories but the results for characterization supported the hypothesis. The highly acculturated were more sympathetic to White characters in Spanish than in Guambiano while the unacculturated were strongly ethnocentric.
