The Tenbo classify the plant and animal world in a Ii way that reflects their pragmatic view of nature. Plants are categorized as wild and planted, and edible and inedible. Animals are domestic or wild, and either provide meat or do not. There is a second dimension that has to do with Teen ritual life.Domestic animals have hidden names used in the context of sacrifices to the ancestor spirits. Most wild animals are vehicles for the spirits to reveal themselves to a hunter as his new god.
