| Polyketide synthase genes have been known responsible for many bioactive compounds regulation. Usually these genes found in bacteria and other microorganism likes fungi. Since scientists have done much research about this topic, they found that actually this bioactive compound were show if only the organism live symbiotic with other microorganism. Bioactive compound will show as part of the survival mechanism of those microorganisms. Extremophiles microorganisms are usually being a target of the research, because this microorganism can survive living at the extreme condition environment. Those microorganisms might have unique metabolism which help them to survive at extreme environment. Extremophiles microorganisms have promising novel drugs, which many researcher hopes can help to cure many diseases. This research has show positive result detection of polyketide synthase (PKS) genes from DNA bacteria sample which live symbiotic with Nepenihes sp. using PCR methods. |
