Tissue culture of aquatic plant, Anubias barteri var nana, was determined using MS medium which was contained plant growth regulators, namely thidiazuron (TDZ) and naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA). Three different concentrations of TDZ (10-5, 10-6 and 10-7 M) and NAA (10-5, 10-6 and 10-7 M), also 8 x 10-6 M benzylaminopurine (BAP) and MS0 were investigated with 6 replications. The disinfectant shoots from tissue culture were used for in vitro multiplication experiment. The results showed that the effects of plant growth regulators on increasing the number of plantlet were highly significant. Maximum axillary shoot proliferation occurred on medium supplemented with 8 x 10-6 M BAP alone and maximum root proliferation occurred on medium supplemented with 10-6 M NAA alone. The plantlets were successfully acclimatized into aquarium within 3 months with 100% survival rate |
