| Adat law is a series of norms that originated from people righteousness sense that keeps evolving. It is characterized by religiomagis mentality, communality, cash and concrete. Since the introduction of Christianity in Batak land, along with other factors such as education development, science and technology and metropolitan life style (under the influence of modernization and individuality), Adat law has long undergoing changes that manipulates its religiomagis mentality and communality. Further more, the dynamic side of Adat law will encourage and act as a catalyst to a less demanding value shifting in Adat marriage law for Batak Toba people in Jakarta. |
