Some clinical investigators have noted that estrogen mas improve cognitive function. Various studies suggest several mechanism by which estrogen may affect neuropsychological function, namely modulation of neurotransmitters, neurit and synaptic reorganization, prevention of celebral inchemia and lipoprotein alterations. The objective of this study is to reveal the effect of dose and duration od estrogen administration on spatial memory of the rat by measuring the performance in the eight-arm radial maze.
