Protective effect of curcumine on endothelial cell were studied in cholesterol-fed rabbits. The cholesterol-rich diet markedly increased malondialdehyde (MDA) in the plasma, as reflected by Thiobarbituric Acid-Reactive Substances (TBARS) and decreased endothelium-dependent vascular relaxations to acetylcholine compared to vessel from normal rabbits.
