The available Modelica1 Petri net (PN) library is extended to allow for delayed transition firing and places holding multiple tokens; which e.g., can be used for creating multi-formalism, hybrid models of production plants for efficient performance analysis. Respective simulative investigation allows to overcome limitations of classic analytic or static analysis methods dealing with dynamic systems. Examples of modeling production plants subject to component failures are given.
