Iodine deficiency erodes the quality of human resources in the form of Iodine Defiency Disorders (IDD) a/o low productivity, mental retardation and still birth. Latest information on the magnitude of goiter is needed to set a plan on control of iodine deficiency disorders. A survey of goiter was conducted in the province of Bengkulu in 1998/1999. Due to limited budget, the survey was carried out only in 3 clusters in each subdistrict (kecamatan).
