Over 2 years ago, Drs. Ortiz and Aranda set out to develop a special issue of Research on Social Work Practice (RSWP) on intervention studies that specifically addressed outcomes for Latinos in various health and human service settings. The call for papers was widely disseminated in RSWP and related venues throughout social work networks in the Unite States. Manuscripts were selected based on the degree to which they reflected the core intent of the call for papers and the degree to which they met the criteria for outcome studies as outlined by the editorial board of RSWP.
