Teleoperation system based on web has given a new technique in monitoring and controlling a process plant. Using internet as a transmission media of data makes the range of controlling more wider, in fact, almost unlimited because the plant can be controlled from anywhere in all around the world as long there is a PC connected to World-Wide-Web. The paper presents a development and implementation of a system for web–based teleoperation using the graphical-based programming language LabVIEW RT 5.1 and Internet Developers Toolkit for G. Common Gateway Interface (CGI) which was employed as an interface between the server with external programs. The developed system was implemented on a level control of a laboratory-scaled process mini-plant. Experiment result shown how the monitoring and controlling of the plant using web-based teleoperation system performed satisfactorily. A short response time, around 1-5 seconds, was observed from the implementation.
