The paper presents simple PID tuning methods for practical cases when the actuator or the process variable sensor has static nonlinear characteristic. The process is assumed a linear dynamic discrete-time SISO plant. These methods can be used when the actuator and the process form an IS or IU Hammerstein model or when the process and the sensor form an IS Wiener model.
