Input constraints exist in almost all real-world systems and may cause unexpected undesirable phenomena such as performance degradation. Though many procedures have been suggested for this problem, precise performance analysis of systems with the constraints is said to be difficult. In this paper, such systems are represented as piecewise affine systems, and both global and local analysis methods of the L2 gain and the L2 incremental gain of the systems are suggested, which uses piecewise quadratic storage functions.
