Immunomodulation effects of aquaous and methanol extracts of kencur (Kaempferia galanga Linn) were studied for phagocytic effect in vitro. Methanol extract of kencur was also studied for phagocytic effect in vivo. It is known that methanol extract of kencur has stronger suppressive effect than aquaous one. This is probably due to p-methoxy cinnamat ethyl ester contained within methanol extracts of kencur.
