The tide of globalization is beyond doubt will be sensed much faster at the turn of the third millenium. In 2003 the ASEAN countries will be a free trade area and this will be expanded to all countries in the Pacific Rim in 2020. Flow of capital will move uncontrollable. Only countries with the best environment could attract the investors. This includes social and political stability, attractive investment regulation, tax and land concession etc.
