We derive two related blind identification algorithms for the FIR channel in the framework of subspace methods. First we derive a deterministic algorithm that completely recovers channel parameters under the noise-free condition based on oblique projections. Then, we develop an algorithm that is less sensitive to additive noise by incorporating the leastsquares smoothing to the deterministic algorithm. Some numerical results are included to show the applicability of the present methods
