Abstract
This paper will discuss a novel, The Joy Luck Club, which was written by Amy Tan. In the novel, there are a lot of conflicts that are interesting to be discussed. The novel is about four mothers and their four daughters who have problems in their family relationship. The novel tells us about the significant changes of the Chinese culture in a Western environment. The issues of the cultural change relate to most of their aspects of life, such as their ways of raising children, their relationship in family, and the role of women.
