Although public see that PT Texmaco Jaya does not exist anymore, it is still listed in Jakarta Stock Exchange Market. As BPPN has taken care of PT Texmaco Jaya’s liabilities, the government is currently looking for potential investors who are interested to acquire this firm. The Z Score is a result obtained from the calculation of Discriminant Function founded by an economist Edward I Altman in middle 1968 to forecast the bankruptcy based on the combination of five variables from financial ratios equation for manufactures The methodologies of this research are primary and secondary data collection from Jakarta Stock Exchange (BEJ) as well as desk study. Based on the five years research from year 2002 to year 2006, it could be concluded that PT Texmaco Jaya falls into potentially bankrupt firm category. Huge capital deficiency is clearly explaining that a firm is in financial trouble. Inadequate working capital and uncompetitive production cost hamper firms to be competitive in the market.
