Stroke is a focal or global cerebral function impairment with varieties of clinical symptom which could progress very fast over 24 hours and threat life to die, this related to vascular factor not by other causes. Stroke is an age related disease, with high prevalence rate in the line with improvement of prosperity and welfare in the community. Nowadays, stroke is the third killer after coroner heart disease and cancer. Post Stroke Depression is the most frequent sequele of stroke which may have negative impact towards the stability of mood, the recovery of cognitive function, and the increasing of mortality rate. Most of patient with Post Stroke Depression will become lethargy, irritable, social withdrawal, low of self esteem. and having sleep disturbance. Stroke dan Post Stroke Depression are a huge and multidimensional problem, starting from caring until rehabilitation. Physical defect, psychological problem due to inability for working, and dependency are kind of big problem either for patient or his/her family, therefore Stroke and Post Stroke Depression should be treated and managed multidiciplinary. Full attention should be paid towards the treatment and management of Post Stroke Depression since depressive disorder could lower motivation and worse the prognosis of stroke itself
