In this paper, a control system and image process- ing methods for manipulating micron-sized colored spherical particles are described. We also report the experimental results for arrangement of the particles into micron-sized vessels and discrimination between di_erent colored particles. The experimental results show that the position detection and color discrimi- nation algorithms perform well in the presence of in- terference from He-Ne laser beams.
