Isi artikelThe accumulation of mercury in fish in the Lumber River Basin in North Carolina has been reported and a fish consumption advisory has been implemented in the basin since the early 1990s. The aims of this study are evaluating the data sets of mercuru concentrations in fish using size-adjusted models and providing related information for decision makers related to mercury pollution. The data sets of fish length and mercury concentration in Largemouth bass collected during 1992-1994 and 1995-2003 biomonitoring study were analyzed by using size-adjusted models. The uncertainties of the model results were generally low. The study indicated that the models were suitable to be used for the evaluation of mercury pollution in the basin.
