In this paper, robust control of a class of multi-input multi-output (MIMO) nonlinear uncertain systems with output multiple uncertainties is considered. By introducing nonlinear state feedback control laws, a novel input-output (I/O) linearization of MIMO nonlinear systems with different dimensions of input and output is proposed. So that a nonlinear uncertain system can be linearized into decoupled linear uncertain systems, for which linear controllers can be designed based on µ synthesis. As a result, controller for the original nonlinear uncertain system can be obtained as the combination of a nonlinear state feedback control law and a block-diagonal linear controller.
