Isi artikel
Two techniques employing simple statistical procedures are suggested for improving the performance of groups who make complex (i.e., multidimensional) judgments that require the coordinated efforts of multiple group members. These techniques are tested using data from a computerized management simulation exercise that solicits multiple-parameter business strategy decisions. The quality of strategy decisions made by a number of student groups is compared with the quality of similar decisions derived using the statistical procedures. Results show evidence that the statistical aggregation procedures, which previously have been shown to improve individual decisions in some circumstances, might also be used to aid some types of multiparameter group decisions.
