| Experts cannot agree on common definitions of "disease" and "health." The best resolution of cultural, social, and political differences in these areas arises when experts pool approaches. Latin American people at all levels are used to the "strong-man" concept, and acceptance of the team approach will come only with successful experiences in using it. A Colombian health project provided such an experience, although the team approach developed is presently in jeopardy. |
