| In 1960 a new system of health services, called "socialized health services," was accepted by the Turkish government. The design of the Turkish National Health Service is based on team work and cooperation. The characteristics of the Turkish National Health Services, the status of the health services before nationalization, and the results of a field study on the National Health Service are given in this paper.
