Quality management system, in this case ISO 9001:2000, currently has been adopted by almost every country in the world and has been implemented by more than 776.608 organizations. As an international standard, ISO 9001:2000 quality mana gement system contains requirements that must be applied by an organization so that it can control its process effectively. The quality management system implementation in the human resource area, one of them is by fulfilling clause six of the requirements : that is resource management, by placing competent employees for each job, and provide trainings required to fulfill that need. In the end, competency evaluation process and training planning will lead to career planning process. This thesis analyze the influence of ISO 9001:2000 quality management system implementation and career planning toward job satisfaction by taking samples at PT. XYZ. The approach used to analyze is the theories in five clause of ISO 9001:2000 (2000) require ements to analyze the implementation of quality management system, the Ballback and Slater's theory (1996) to analyze career planning, and the two factor theory from Greenberg and Baron (2003) to analyze job satisfaction. The respondents' answers on the distributed questioners showed that 81.3% of the respondents agree that the indicators of the quality management system implementation at PT XYZ has been fulfilled or has been applied. Meanwhile, for career planning, 85.5% of the respondents agreed that they have experienced the indicators of the career planning in the company. Whereas for work satisfaction, 88.8% of the respondents agreed that they have experienced the job satisfaction indicators in the company. The aforementioned data showed that the majority of the respondents thought that those three variables have been well-implemented at PT. XYZ. The analysis result then show s that the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system implementation at PT XYZ has positively and significantly influenced its employees' job satisfaction. Career planning also has a positive influence and significant influence toward job satisfaction. In addition, the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system implementation and career planning at the same time give positive and significant influence toward job satisfaction. |
