| Natural gas is one of energy sources has been applied widely at many developed countries replacing the role of fuel-oil. In Indonesia, however, the application of natural gas is very limited due to several factors. The limited transportation methods such as network of distribution pipeline, technology and wrong-perception of customer that natural gas is dangerous. The other factor is the sensitivity of supply and price. Those factors become one of the obstacles of natural gas application as an alternative energy source is even more important. This research aims to anderstand to what extent natural gas market potential through distribution pipeline. The research based on survey of 100 (one hundred) respondents. Resident of real-estate housing complex and public (Perumnas/BTN) housing at Aren Jaya Sub-district, Bekasi Municipal City, which are randomly chosen. The research also shows that there is a positive responses from the most of respondent, to change from kerosene and other fuel to natural gas the alternative of their prime energy. Further the research shows, that perspective customer mostly prefer to see that there is a guarantee of supply, un-interruptible, no-scarcity of supply as what is sometimes happening with karose fuel, affordable prices by most of member of the pub;ic. Another expectation is that prospective customers will reap the real benefit of abudance of gas supply without inconvenience of cerrying a can and queuing at shops, beside getting the advantages of gas as a claen, portable, cheap, economic, safe and environmental friendly sourch of energy. |
