Isi artikelThis article discusses the relevance of humanistic psychology to the goals of social transformation within the context of globalization and poverty eradication. It discusses the applicability of basic humanistic psychology principles to the training of development workers, the strengths and limitations of Maslow’s theory of human needs, and the political and economic implications of humanistic psychology. Suggestions for future directions in research, practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration are presented.
