Isi artikel
This article examines the ways in which the professions of clinical psychology and psychotherapy have adopted the powerful discourses of eugenics and medicine. In so doing, they have acted in ways that oppress rather than liberate those who require their services. The article suggests that, through emphasizing connectedness with clients rather than difference from them, these professions might act in a more liberatory way. Some pointers for the future are presented.
