Isi artikelStudents need interactive teaching models to enhance their learning motivation. One of such interactive teaching methods that utilize internet is group discussion through the mailing list. This study aims to test the effectiveness of a teaching method using mailing list to increase student motivation. Subjects were 22 students following the developmental psychology II course, This experimental research was conducted through a one - group pretest -posttest design lasting 8 weeks. Data were analyzed with the t - test dependent sample. The result shows t value = 0,67 , p < 0,05 , revealing no significant difference between student motivation before and after joining the mailing list teaching method. However, the majority of subjects admitted that they gain advantages after being a number of a mailing list group and suggested to continue discussions through the mailing list.
