| The monthly issues of AFYA feature articles on diagnostic methods and treatment procedures for lower and middle-level health workers. Articles on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, integrated health projects, and health centres are written in very simple instructional terms with appropriate illustrations. Although comments and articles deal with epidemiological conditions peculiar to East Africa, the journal is of interest to medical and health workers in other developing regions.
