This research was aimed to explore the role of one's hardiness as a buffer / shield against the appearance of pathological symptomes in the form of somatization disorder as a consequence of life stressors, and contracting a somatization disocrder model. Through a structural model similarity test, the somatization disorder model reflecting the role of the hardines as personality, is accepted as a proper model. The role of the person's hardiness trait as a buffer / shield is reflected through the success to mediate and moderate the impact of life stressors on somatization disorder. As a whole the constructed model is able to explain 89% of the somatization disorder.
