Isi artikel
A new formulation of fault detection and diagnosis algorithm has been proposed based on the direct minimization of residual uncertainty. The observer-based approach is used to construct the residual signal and the fault detection is performed using the statistically based parity check method. In terms of fault diagnosis of linear systems, a recursive algorithm is developed to control the residual signal so that it is only affected by the random inputs in the case of constant fault. This algorithm also applies for linear systems with slow-drifting faults with the result that the residual signal is related to both the random inputs and the uncontrollable part of the drifting fault. Discussions have been extended to nonlinear systems where the entropy performance is provided to represent residuals uncertainty for non-Gaussian systems.
