This study describes a preprocessing scheme for stabilizing a measurement of cascaded GPS/INS integration Kalman filter. A smoothing of the measurement and a prediction of INS error are proposed for an abrupt error jump of GPS solution and a blocking condition of GPS signal, respectively. The smoothing algorithm is designed by a gain scheduling with fuzzy logic. The prediction scheme is derived by Schuler model of INS. The test results show the high efficiency of the suggested algorithm.
